I just moved into a new apartment after graduating. Luckily, because of my new job, I was able to afford a much larger space. The only down side – if you can consider it a down side – is that I don’t have much furniture, which means I have to spend money, but I get to go shopping, and who doesn’t love shopping?In my living room, I’ve got a TV and a couch already, but the room still felt…well….empty. Finally it occurred to me! You need area rugs to tie the place together! So I started look for discount rugs, and was pretty impressed with what I came up with. I was interested in something a bit more contemporary, style-wise, and wanted to spend less than $150. Those requirements limited my options some more but still there was a multitude of styles and choices.
Finally I found something that jived with my tastes. It’s pretty simple, like no abstract shapes or anything, just a nice border and some squares, pretty basic, you know? It matches the colors of my couch and the walls, and really makes the entire room feel warmer. So now the place feels like home.
